“…if you act, especially if you act with other people—with other people you admire, who you think are doing good things—you’re gonna feel better…”

Timothy Snyder, Yale Historian (soon to be former Yale professor)

Welcome.

This site began as a simple way to help friends and family stay informed, take action, and find connection in a time of political urgency. The name Next2sday was inspired by a long-running Tuesday night dinner group—where conversation, laughter, and concern for the world around us were always on the menu. That same spirit of connection and shared purpose helped shape this space.

What started as a personal project has grown into a public platform—a hub for political engagement, protest listings, action alerts, and creative resistance. As the site evolves, it now also serves as a home for the Indivisible Northeast Ohio (INEO) Arts Committee, spotlighting art as activism, upcoming events, and resources that inspire and empower.

This website is a work in progress, much like our efforts. It will grow and evolve alongside the world around us. While the site was created for our own use, we welcome others who resonate with our mission. Whether you’re a longtime friend or just stumbled upon us—we’re glad you’re here. We hope this space informs, inspires, or at the very least, gives you something to think about.

Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep speaking out.

Join us for our next Block Party for Democracy on February 7th.

Need a great gift for a music lover?

Want to support the Boycott Spotify movement?

Here’s an easy way to do both.

We've created a simple, meaningful gift that lets someone keep the music they love — while making choices that reflect their values.

It’s a gift that:

Respects their love of music.

Supports ethical consumer action.

Makes participation feel doable — not overwhelming.

Our FREE Gift of Democracy & Music packet makes it easy to:

Gift a replacement music streaming service

Help someone properly cancel Spotify (not just downgrade)

Ensure their playlists transfer to the new service

What’s inside this free, printable packet:

  • Clear instructions for you, the gift giver, on how to purchase gift cards for alternative streaming services
  • Printable pages you can include with the gift to guide the recipient through transferring their Spotify playlists
  • Step-by-step guidance on how to fully cancel a Spotify account
  • Optional resources for podcasts and ways to get more involved, for those who want them

Why Boycott Spotify?

A growing movement is encouraging listeners to leave Spotify after the company began running recruitment advertisements for ICE — an agency whose practices have harmed immigrant families and, in documented cases, detained people without adequate due process. For many people, that crossed a line. This packet is designed to make participating in the boycott practical, informed, and accessible — without asking anyone to give up music.

Chalking leading up to No Kings Day

These were some of the first stencils we created that we used around town to spread the word about the No Kings event. Now we’ve launched a ‘Chalking Brigade” and are conducting training sessions and providing stencils and supplies.
